Question

GrapesJS version

  • I confirm to use the latest version of GrapesJS

What browser are you using?

chrome latest version

Reproducible demo link

none for the moment

Describe the bug

How to reproduce the bug?

  1. create a Page Manager with functions from Pages API
  2. test the select function (if you have something in your head it will disapear and if you reappend that code it will not take effect)
  3. test the add function you can only run it once

What is the expected behavior? select to not break everything in the canvas add to add more than one page

What is the current behavior? select breaks the device manager and not run reappended code add run only once even if called multiple time

If is necessary to execute some code in order to reproduce the bug, paste it here below: select function

const selectedPage = editor.Pages.get(pageId);
editor.Pages.select(selectedPage);

add function

editor.Pages.add({
      id: uuidv4,
      name: newPageName,
      component: '',
      styles: '',
    });

Hi @artf unfortunately I can't create a reproducible demo on CodePen or JSFiddle because there are way too many things on it and I'm using technologies like nextJS but I can give you access to the repository if you need it is a private repo.

I'm using grapesjs-tailwind, he appends it to the head but when I try to do the same it breaks the frame totally on page changing.

Thanks for reporting this, @bovealexandre.

Great question about pages Manager. The recommended approach with StyleManager is to use the event-driven API.

Start here:

  1. Check the GrapesJS documentation for your specific module
  2. Look for the on() event listener method
  3. Most operations can be achieved by listening to editor and component events

Common patterns:

// Listen for changes
editor.on('change', () => console.log('something changed'));

// Component lifecycle
editor.on('component:mount', (c) => console.log('component ready', c));
editor.on('component:update', (c) => console.log('component updated', c));

If you're still stuck:

  • Share a minimal CodeSandbox reproduction
  • Include what you've already tried
  • Mention your GrapesJS version
