What browser are you using?
Chrome 138.0.7204.101
Reproducible demo link
https://jsfiddle.net/u3L89ejh/1/
Describe the bug
How to reproduce the bug?
- Resize the image
- Drag it somewhere else on the canvas
- Click one of those little blue resizer squares
- Watch the image jumps into a different position
What is the expected behavior?
- Should stay where I left it
- If the top/left/right/bottom values doesn’t have units, treat the values like
px, not%.
What is the current behavior?
- When you move the image, top and left behave nicely with pixel values.
- But the moment you touch a resizer, it swaps to
%and suddenly jumps to a whole new position on the canvas.

@artf In the new version, there's another bug: when you click one of the resize handles on the Y-axis, it makes the image significantly larger. Here's the demo: https://jsfiddle.net/du81zL6r/
Thanks for reporting this, @jsxOverdose.
Great question about Moved element snaps to wrong position on resize. The recommended approach with Canvas is to use the event-driven API.
Start here:
- Check the GrapesJS documentation for your specific module
- Look for the
on()event listener method - Most operations can be achieved by listening to editor and component events
Common patterns:
// Listen for changes
editor.on('change', () => console.log('something changed'));
// Component lifecycle
editor.on('component:mount', (c) => console.log('component ready', c));
editor.on('component:update', (c) => console.log('component updated', c));
If you're still stuck:
- Share a minimal CodeSandbox reproduction
- Include what you've already tried
- Mention your GrapesJS version
