Out of the box GrapesJS keeps a single page in memory: reload the editor and whatever the user built is gone unless you wired up a storage manager yourself. Template manager plugins add the missing layer — a library of saved pages users can name, preview, duplicate and reopen, plus the project-level structure needed when one site has many pages. They plug into the same StorageManager API GrapesJS already exposes, so you can keep templates in localStorage while prototyping and move them to your own backend later without touching the editor code.
