If you're talking about the Select component from the form plugin, in that case, options are displayed as traits.

Yes, but selection box still not clickable even in preview? Thanks.

Hello, This problem is due to this line (https://github.com/artf/grapesjs-plugin-forms/blob/master/src/components.js#L186). It could be interesting to enable the event only in case the editor is in preview mode? Then is it really useful to have the event in preview mode?

I don't know how the preview system works but I can look at it to propose a PR ?

Thanks for reporting this, @confettidc.

Great question about selection box not clickable in editor. The recommended approach with GrapesJS is to use the event-driven API.

Start here:

  1. Check the GrapesJS documentation for your specific module
  2. Look for the on() event listener method
  3. Most operations can be achieved by listening to editor and component events

Common patterns:

// Listen for changes
editor.on('change', () => console.log('something changed'));

// Component lifecycle
editor.on('component:mount', (c) => console.log('component ready', c));
editor.on('component:update', (c) => console.log('component updated', c));

If you're still stuck:

  • Share a minimal CodeSandbox reproduction
  • Include what you've already tried
  • Mention your GrapesJS version
