Frequently asked questions

Can multiple editors work on the same newsletter template?
GrapesJS itself is single-user per session, but templates are stored as JSON you can version-control or save to your CMS. Your team can swap ownership via your platform layer.
How do we manage a library of reusable newsletter sections?
The Blocks manager supports custom saved-blocks that editors can drag in. We configure a shared block library at setup so your brand sections (header, footer, sponsor block) are always one click away.
Does the editor handle inline images and image uploads?
Yes. We integrate the Asset Manager with your storage backend (S3, Cloudinary, or any upload endpoint) so editors can drag-drop images directly into sections.
Can we lock certain sections — like the footer — from editing?
Yes. Locked components are set via the component's locked property or by disabling specific selectors in the Style Manager. Footer, legal copy, and logo blocks can all be made read-only.
What output format do we get — HTML, MJML, or JSON?
All three simultaneously. GrapesJS stores the layout as JSON (which you save to your CMS), and exports to HTML or MJML on demand via the export plugin.
Is there a template picker so editors can start from a preset layout?
Yes. We configure a template library panel at setup. Editors pick a layout (single-column, two-column, digest) and the editor pre-populates it — no blank-canvas anxiety.
What is the starting price for a newsletter platform build?
Newsletter builds typically start at $500–$700 with a content-focused preset and the lory-slider plugin for featured stories. Full setup including storage integration runs $900–$1,400.
