The built-in asset manager holds a flat list of image URLs with no upload path, which is fine for a demo and not for a product. The Cloudinary plugin replaces it with a real media library — upload, transform and serve through a CDN, with the browser UI wired into the same asset dialog users already open. The icon plugin covers the other common gap, making the Google Material set searchable and insertable as components rather than pasted SVG.
